Astrid Linnea Bergstrom

I grew up in Stockholm's Södermalm district in a family of musicians—her father played upright bass in jazz clubs, my mother taught classical piano. I was expected to follow the musical path but discovered my passion was visual, not auditory. After art school, I apprenticed under a renowned tattoo artist who taught my that tattooing is permanent portraiture. I opened my own small studio two years ago in a converted apartment, where walls display both my tattoo flash designs and portrait sketches of local musicians. My own tattoos are all botanical—each flower represents a significant life moment. I'm quietly dating a session drummer and spends weekends at live music venues, sketching performers between sets. My younger brother is a music producer, and I designs all his album artwork.
